Category & Price-Band Commission
Commission ranges roughly 2-5% for mobiles, 3-12% for electronics, 8-15% for home & kitchen, up to 25% for fashion jewellery — and fashion & apparel now carries 0% commission at any price since July 2026.
Fixed Fee by Seller Tier
A flat per-order fixed fee (roughly ₹8 to ₹35 depending on price band) applies on every delivered order — Bronze-tier sellers pay the most, Platinum-tier sellers pay the least for an identical order.
Shipping by Weight & Zone
Local and zonal shipping is free for most items under 500g since the November 2025 revision. Above that, shipping is charged on actual or volumetric weight (L × W × H ÷ 5000, whichever is higher) and delivery zone.
Collection Fee (Prepaid vs COD)
Flipkart charges a collection fee that differs between prepaid and cash-on-delivery orders — COD orders typically carry a higher collection fee, which this calculator accounts for separately from shipping.
RTO & Return Impact
Flipkart's blended RTO rate typically runs 10-15% — lower than Meesho, higher than Amazon's prepaid-heavy mix. Model your own return rate to see how it changes your real per-order margin.
Seller Tier Payout Timing
Gold and Platinum sellers are typically paid around 7 business days after the courier's first mother-hub scan, Silver around 10 days, and Bronze around 15 — which matters for cash flow even when the margin is identical.

Frequently Asked Questions
There's no single flat rate — Flipkart charges commission per category and often per price band within that category. Rough ranges: 2-5% for mobiles, 3-12% for electronics, 8-15% for home & kitchen, 8-17% for beauty, and up to 25% for fashion jewellery. Fashion & apparel and any eligible item under ₹1,000 currently carry 0% commission. Always confirm your exact rate in Seller Hub, since Flipkart revises slabs without a public changelog.
Selling price minus product cost minus commission (category and price-band specific) minus fixed fee (seller-tier specific) minus shipping fee (weight and zone specific) minus GST on those fees, adjusted for your actual return/RTO rate across orders — not a single order in isolation.
Four components: a commission percentage by category and price slab, a fixed fee that scales with order value band and seller tier, a collection fee that differs for prepaid versus COD orders, and a shipping fee based on weight and delivery zone. Any chart showing only commission is showing a partial picture.
Yes, more than most sellers expect at low price points. The fixed fee can differ by roughly ₹5-25 for the same order between Bronze and Platinum tier — on a ₹300-500 item that's a multi-percentage-point swing in margin, separate from payout speed differences.
Yes — since 8 July 2026, Flipkart removed the ₹1,000 price cap on its zero-commission policy for fashion, so fashion and apparel listings carry 0% commission at any price. This is confirmed by mainstream business press, not just seller forums.
No. A calculator like this estimates fees before you sell. Our Flipkart reconciliation tool checks what Flipkart actually charged after the fact — commission rate, shipping, and settlement amount for every order — catching overcharges and misclassifications a calculator can't show you.
